Has anyone tried Nutramigen and how has your baby reacted to it?

I have been suspecting CMPA for my baby but have been ignored by the doctors who shrugged off his constant screaming as ‘colic’. Now my baby is 11 weeks tomorrow and started sneezing frequently the past 2 days and is in pain after every meal along with frequent spit ups, hiccups and constipation. He also barely sleeps now. I would like to try Nutramigen but I’m worried about side effects and switching formulas. Please help!

Not nutramigen but we've been on Althera & have just moved to Alfamino. Casper had a bad rash, lots of vomiting, mucus in his poo, very unsettled. We had his review with the GP yesterday and she said that with CMPA, there isn't a test for it so a lot of the time it can be confused with colic or reflux. She said they don't like to treat for one thing when it could be something else but going by Caspers symptoms & how he's been on the milk, it was looking very likely to be CMPA. You could try going to another GP if that would work? My health visitor spoke with the Dr too so this could maybe be an option?

Thank you @Eli! How long has your baby been on this formula and did you see any improvement yet?

My little girl was on Nutramigen for about 2 weeks and it helped her so much but then her CMPA symptoms came back and she’s now on SMA Althera

We’re in aptamil pepti 1 which is apparently the nicest in smell and taste. My LB got worse, then better, then worse so we’re not sure now if it’s CMPA or something else or both!

So I was EBF & I cut out dairy but he was on the Althera for 4 weeks or so. He's been on Alfamino since Thursday. I've stopped breastfeeding now because he has more allergies than just the cows milk & my milk was just making him vomit too. I noticed a change within about a week but he's still got some symptoms that will hopefully get better with the new milk!

My little one is, he was crying during his feeds and I think he had the signs of silent reflux, doctor put him on nutramigen (as it helps reflux and milk allergy) and now he’s so good with feeds and doesn’t cry!!
