Filipino Food 🇵🇭

Homemade pinakbet 🤤 So glad my kiddos enjoy this dish because it’s full of so many yummy vegetables. The recipe I grew up with includes the following: pork butt/belly, kabocha pumpkin, onions, fresh garlic&ginger, yard long beans, bitter melon, Chinese eggplant, okra, and tomato. It’s cooked down in soy sauce, patis/fish sauce (sometimes bagaong), and water(I sub w/ chicken/veg stock) until everything is tender. Always served on a bed of jasmine rice. *video of ingredients in comments* I decided to separate some of the ingredients I knew my bubs would eat on his own. Served his big sis a little bowl and she enjoyed it. Little mans ended up finishing his plate and ultimately finished eating my bowl too.

That's awesome! Looks really good. I love when cultures are passed down. I'm Thai, and cook for my kids how my mom cooked for me. I love that they enjoy it 🥹 I make a similar pork dish, and pumpkin as well!

I’m Hawaiian, Filipino, Korean, and European (just to name a few lol). Love that we can share our culture through food! 🍴💕

@Kaiulani that's amazing! I'm Thai/Chinese and Italian, but i cook a ton of Thai, Chinese and korean. I bet your family eats good lol. I wish i had someone like you nearby to cook with lol.

I'm Mexican but we definitely love cooking Asian dishes especially Korean ones
