Reflux help

Hi. My 6 week old is suffering from reflux (sicking up many times after each feed). Does anyone have a baby suffering from the same? Have you found anything to help? Thanks.

We’ve started using infacol and we’re pace feeding and it seems to have made a difference (pace feeding obviously only relevant if you’re bottle feeding). My baby girl is still being sick occasionally but it’s definitely less!

My baby is also 6 weeks as of Sunday and same with the reflux 🥺 my doctor prescribed gas drops that I’ve been using and also pace feeding but he still spits up often after his feeds unless I continue to burp him periodically

I asked midwife today she said Infacol can help so is a good place to start, and if it doesn't improve then GP can prescribe gaviscon

We have baby gaviscon it’s great works really well. Infacol actually makes it worse as it’s an orange flavour

@Emily did they have sickness? Did it stop that?

Yeh she still is a little bit sick but it’s got loads better and she’s much better at night time laying down 😊

My boy was having reflux + silent reflux at night between weeks 2-3 quite bad. We started pace feeding and stopping regularly for burping (would also stop him on breast too every few minutes). We have been doing a seated figure of 8 movement to help burp which works well. Then after a feed we make sure he’s upright (generally asleep on us) for 20-30mins. Can be tough at night to sit longer waiting for time to pass but we’ve found it has helped a lot!

I’ve had the same with my little girl, she’s 8 weeks. Her reflux can be really bad, she projectile vomits and it comes out of her nose bless her. I’ve moved to anti reflux milk and the doctors have prescribed her omeprazole tablets which we have to dissolve and give her once daily. It’s only been about 4 days but it’s deffo getting better

We did also try infacol and I found it made the reflux worse
