Measuring ahead

I just had a routine OB appointment for 23 weeks and they said my belly is measuring at 28/29 weeks and they want me to come in for an ultrasound to confirm. Just wondering if anyone has had something similar. Did it turn out to be a big baby or did they just really mess up conception date?

No input but the same thing just happened to me today. I’m planning a homebirth so my ultrasounds have been done through a private studio. I’m pretty certain of my projected due date since I was religiously tracking ovulation. The tech took some measurements at my appointment today and said baby was measuring in the 97th percentile for head and tummy size. She left the room for a few minutes, came back and said, “I changed your due date in our system.” When she sent me the photos I noticed at the top that she changed my due date from 25weeks to 26 weeks and 4 days……..ummm…..?? I was confused. Like is it not possible that baby is just measuring large? And where did she even get that supposed date from? 😆 She literally knows nothing about my cycle/ovulation and just pulled this date out of her ass. So weird.

Your belly size shouldn’t dictate your due date. This and my last pregnancy my belly has always measured larger than expected and it’s never affected my due date.

I carry big too but my due date has never changed. That seems odd to me

I haven’t had a belly measurement yet, my next OB apt is Monday. But I also see a high risk ob (just bc my first baby had VSD), and they said this baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead 🫣🫣
