NT Scan!

I am 13+1 day pregnant, I had my screening test today and the results came back with 6.10mm which is a lot higher than the normal amount. I am going for another more in-depth scan tomorrow, I am very shocked with this news and don’t really know how to feel! If anyone has gone through this I would really appreciate any messages/support/information.

Hey, I’m so sorry to hear you’re having this worry :( It’s important to remember a raised NT is considered a potential ‘soft marker’ for some issues, but it’s by no means definite that there is a problem with baby’s health/chromosomes. At this point, I would just recommend trying to get as much information as possible, which it sounds like you are doing with getting a more detailed scan. Did you have the first trimester bloods to look for Downs/Edwards/Patau? X

I had a cvs scan today and now waiting on the results which is looking like is going to be Monday! Structurally the baby is looking good and healthy but it is looking likely that it will be a chromosome abnormality x
