Have you given calpol??

@Kirsty Yupp I’ve given calpol but he doesn’t seem to have a temp maybe leg soreness not sure but his not taking to his dummy not sure if he has any pain in his mouth from the one they put into his mouth

That one won't cause pain it's only a live vaccine for D and V keep up with the calpol for 3 times after every 4-6 hours even if you think no temp.... Does LO have belly ache?? Suffer with trapped wind xx

@Kirsty hi Kirsty yes he normally suffers from trapped wind and gass. He did a massive poop after crying for hours, I’m thinking he deffinately has tummy ache. Do you know how long this will last?

Sounds like belly ache to me hun not sure how long belly ache will last and I can't for certain say it's the jabs either xx

My poor boy screamed for two hours straight in the evening of his jabs, and was super unhappy all evening. He refused his dummy all night too! The next day he was still a bit upset but not as bad. He was back to himself after 2-3 days x

It's horrible to see but it will pass, usually lasts 1-2 days. They all react differently to the jabs, just like adults respond differently to the covid jab for example - but my first always got very unsettled/bad tummy after the rotavirus jabs - those sets were always the worst for us! Hope your little one is better soon!

@Annie I wonder what the dummy situation is! His also refusing to feed it’s been 6 hours should I be concerned or let it run its course and let him tell me when his hungry?

Oh gosh, sorry to hear this. Ours are booked in for tomorrow morning and I’m not looking forward to it :(

@Ellie at least in the morning you can give him a couple of rounds of paracetomal so by the night he could be slightly more settled. Got to keep looking at the bright side or I’ll go mad!

The rotavirus vaccine will give them a dodgy tummy for a couple of days (diarrhoea potentially worse wind). Should feel better in themself by tomorrow, give all the doses of calpol and just make sure you rest yourself. As a children’s nurse I promise that it is worth it to protect from those illnesses x

Oh yes mine got super fussy with feeding too, he was only latching for a few mins at a time. I just kept switching sides and persevering and the next day he was feeding normally again. Maybe just offer him a bit?
