Something fount on my scan?
hey girls, I’ve just been for a scan I’ve measured at 8w 5d instead of 10w 6d, baby’s heart beat is completely fine and measured perfect.
However, in my scan they had to get someone else in to come have a look. I don’t have a clear picture on what they mean but they said I should find out more in my next scan.
They said due to baby being small they couldn’t tell me definite what this could be, until my next scan on the 15th of October where it should be more clear. Alls they said is something about my cord. On my letter they give me this is what it says
“umbilical cord and abdominal content is seen but appears prominent check on next scan” could someone please explain what this could be or if they had similar experience before.

@katelyn alls they said is she never seen it to the other worker and both seem confused but said it could be something or nothing, but I need tell them at my next scan and should know more once I’m further along x
Is it because the cord is only just forming? So they want to check in next scan that it has properly formed? That would be my guess as it forms later on x

I’ve just had my 12 week scan today and I’m 11 weeks + 3 days and they had to get someone else in for my scan too as the cord was a bit bulky so they wanted a second opinion but they said it could be because I’m so early and it should sort itself out, I’m not sure if that’s the same with you x
