If he is really good on tummy you can put a little bit of water nad put him on his belly, my other girl lived it and before was screaming too 🙈
My eldest went through a phase of hating the bath so I started having a bath with her. It was a really lovely bonding experience and she soon got back to enjoying bath time!
Have you tried some skin to skin in the bath?

Skin on skin in the bath is a lovely experience so I hope that night help you ☺️ putting a warm wet muslin over him could help, and I’ve heard that showing the bath as you’re running it can help so they can see it before just being dunked in
He was a water birth and I thought after that he would be somewhat OK with baths but 😞 I'll try getting in with him
How is he with top-and-tail, or splashing him with warm water in the sink? Is it just being fully in the bath or is it any time getting wet?
It's when he gets into 37° water so the right body temp... just had a bath with him and he loved it so calm

We have been going through periods like this with our son, he was born in 2022. We are going through one of the hating stages at the moment. I don’t think there is a specific reason! When we are in a hating bath stage we still have a bath everyday as it is part of bed time routine but we do a quick wash and let him get out when he wants so he knows he has the choice. We did buy a new bath toy which was more stimulating and distracted him more. I hope it gets better for you soon xxx
