Postpartum bleeding
I know it can be different for everyone but just wondering how long did everyone bleed for afterwards?
I’m currently almost 3 weeks postpartum, natural birth with episiotomy that’s healing absolutely fine, can’t even feel it anymore.
Still bleeding but very light. Like the end of a period. Just curious as it’s the only thing now that’s yet to go back to normal and sick of wearing pads as I’m normally a tampon user but been advised against due to risk of infection.

I wore pads for 8 weeks after my first x
Was around 4 weeks with my 1st with episiotomy too that healed well. I think it can be slightly quicker if you breastfeed as that stimulates uterus contraction
I’m 12 days PP and my bleeding is becoming very light now too. I’m sick of wearing pads too, I had to lather myself in sudocream the other day as I was getting nappy rash 😭

I'm 4 weeks postpartum tomorrow and I suffered a third degree tear. I'm the same, still got light bleeding. I think it can take up to 6 weeks for the bleeding to completely stop. The pads are so irritating I can sympathise with you! But now my bleeding is light, I don't wear a pad or underwear to bed, just put a towel underneath me and have a shower in the morning. My midwife said that was the best thing for recovery and to stop soreness. Hope this helps x
