Estrogen cream
Hi all, I wanted to share that my OB prescribed estrogen cream (estrodial cream 0.1%) to help strengthen the walls/ help with bladder/urine urgency. It’s a 6 week application per tube and I’m about 10 days in and can already tell it’s helping. This, is addition to pelvic floor therapy, in my opinion, may be the winning combo.

Good question, she didn’t mention it but my pelvic floor therapist says she uses the cream too! The first two weeks you use 2 g every night and then you taper off using it only four times a week.
Did they check your estrogen level prior or anything?
No
I was also able to get this from my GP based on the recommendation of my pelvic floor physio and around similar timeframe I found my symptoms had improved by 40-50%. I am breastfeeding and got the implant contraceptive so my estrogen levels were quite low. I have been told that when I finish the first tube I’ll need to go back to GP and they will assess whether to prescribe more.
