Bath time/shower struggles

Anyone else's toddler SCREAM whenever you need to wash their hair?? My son is 3.5 now and still screams bloody murder whenever I need to wash his hair. I try to have him lay back so he doesn't get water in his face but he doesn't listen so I just end up powering through it while he screams fearing the cops are going to be called 🥴 I gave in and just bought one of those visors for bath time off Amazon. Does anyone else still struggle with this?? I hope he grows out of it soon..

Omg it’s the worst! Our neighbors probably think we are torturing our daughter. It can be the smallest amount of water and all hell breaks lose. We have tried making it fun and everything and nothing work. Let me know if the visor works for you.

Yup! Our daughter does the same. Some nights she’s okay, other wise the other nights you’d think we were torturing her. We read books in the bath some nights or give her some Bubbles to play with. Toys too. Still isn’t a fan of it most nights. I see you! Stay strong fam!

How often do you shower with him? It took swimming lessons (1-2x a week) and showers every night for my daughter to get past it 😔 but, we made it!

@Amanda we do just body baths 1-2x a week in the summer when they get the most gross and sweaty but I definitely don't wash his hair everytime because some days I just don't have the energy for that power struggle. This year he just got comfortable enough to start learning how to swim.

@Kelly samee, he absolutely loves to play in the bath with his brother but the moment I need to wash his hair it's over 😩 he's hated it since he was a baby 😩

@Magaly same! Lol my upstairs neighbors are probably very concerned at bath time 😅 i literally warn my husband everytime the cops are probably going to show up 😅 I'll definitely let you know how the visor works! It's my last hope 😅

I am having the same problem with my 3.5 yr old, he loves to swim but hates bath or shower time. So sometimes we let him go swimming and then immediately afterwards wash his hair and body. It worked the first couple times but eventually he learned the process and we ended up running around with him in our big back yard and it was exhausting so we were back to screaming in the shower or tub. Well Good Luck to all of us. I'm actually struggling with a lot. We all probably are. But we ( mostly me) should never complain because we would rather live everyday struggling with them then live without them.
