Are your 3 yr olds socializing with other kids yet ?
My girly will only socialize with her cousins. When she opens up, she’s so funny and knows how to set boundaries. She takes her time to build trust and a connection with someone. I can’t help but feel bad for her when she’s playing alone at school.
I tell her everyday to try to make friends. I even talked to her teacher about this and they’re working on exercises to get her to open up.
It’s like she doesn’t want to or doesn’t care for friendship. Is it an age thing ? Am I putting too much pressure on this matter ? Should I not make it a thing ?
Some kids are just more independent. As long as she does make some friends when she wants to, isn't having negative interactions with other kids, and it isn't having a negative impact on her emotionally, I would just consider it part of her personality. How long has she been at school? Is it part or full time, half day or all day? What type of program is it?
