My husband convince me back in May to cut our son's hair. He was certain that it was bothering him and that's why our son was getting ear infections. We went to a children's hair salon. My son still scratches at his ears
@Melissa I like his longer hair, I just wish it would stay out of his face. I tried styling gel but doesn’t help that much.
I used clippers on my 18 month old for the first time last weekend!
I cut it myself because my boy is so wary of strangers no way could he handle a hairdresser
My second was 2 and my third has curly locks my partner wants me to get it cut I said no his 2
My little boy got his first haircut a month after his 2nd birthday. We took him to the barbers around the corner from our house, but it was a lady hairdresser. She spent the whole time chasing him around the salon doing it, but it didn't turn out too badly. He didn't lose his curls either luckily as I was worried about that as well.
@Ellie the ear thing is usually to do with teething x
@Rachel he has all his teeth
@Ellie they don't finish getting their teeth until they are 3
@Rachel he has his molars
We waited 2 years because I couldn't let go of the curls but then got his second haircut like a month later because he just looked wild lol I originally wanted to go to a kid-specific place but we ended up going to Great Clips and the woman was great. We put Ms Rachel on the tablet and had no issues
My other half just takes our son to the barbers with him when he's due a haircut. I don't go with them. Thought it was a father/son thing to do. Was glad he took him as his long curly hair was driving me mad and when he has a haircut he looks so grown up
My son got his first hair cut at 14 months. We took him to a kids specialty salon and had a very good experience. When his gets long it curls a bit too and I agree that its super cute, but I prefer to have his hair cut short. We do shaved sides with longer on top.
