RSV vaccine

Hi everyone, Have you had the RSV vaccine ? How did it make you feel ? I keep receiving invites for this but on the NHS page it says that it should be taken from week 28. I'm only week 22, is there any risk taking it earlier ?

I have the same question but my gp already booked my rsv jab for 22th week, is it ok?

I was told by my midwife to have it after 28 weeks so that it is still in baby’s system when they are born

It’s most effective when given between 28-36 weeks so would be waiting. I don’t think they should be giving it earlier as that’s what the guidelines recommend and how it’s been tested. Whooping cough is from 16 weeks (between 16-32 weeks ideally) and flu jab is whenever (earlier the better so it’s working by peak season).

The midwife told me today it’s from 28 weeks and gave me some info about it xx

Thanks for your reply everyone! I will be waiting until at least week 28 🙂
