Expecting our second…
Just found out we’re a few weeks preg with our second, has anyone ever done a private baby scan around 8 weeks? Is it worth doing then or waiting until we’re further along. Also would you take ur other child with you or not? We haven’t told anyone yet

Thank you! This is exactly why we haven’t told ours yet cos he’ll defo tell everyone before we do lol. Did you have to do an internal scan or normal belly scan?
Had an early scan with both around 8 weeks, my first was pretty accurate and with my second it told me I was only 7 weeks. 8/9 is a good time as if you're earlier than you think you'll still be able to see something. Both times were internal scans. Congratulations ☺️
Are they uncomfortable / painful doing internal scans? All I can think of is a smear 😩 but would like to do an early scan to make sure everything is ok
No they are okay feels like a little pressure, I found my smear tests worse x

Congratulations! I had a private scan at 8/9 weeks as I’d had some cramping and wanted to check everything was ok. Found out it was twins so was definitely worth doing 🤣🙈 I wouldn’t take a 3 year old, and some places don’t accept children anyway. I personally chose to wait until a lot later to tell my eldest, as I wouldn’t have wanted to have to tell him if something went wrong, and I wouldn’t have trusted him to keep the secret! x
