Can’t stop crying

My baby is a week old, and I am so emotional. I wana cry all the time I constantly have a lump in my throat. I just look at her and want to burst into tears 😂 i keep holding my tears back as my partner doesn’t understand why I’m crying but it’s a feeling I just can’t explain to him. Is anyone else this emotional?

Have the cry you need it helps so much x

My baby is a week old today too, I’ve cried a few times! Firstly your body just harvested a WHOLE HUMAN!! You powerful woman! Secondly, you’re experiencing so much emotions due to hormone levels. Thirdly, FEEL the emotions, whether they make sense or not, let it out… it will be okay x

@Daniella thank you 🥺

I had a day the week after my Son was born and just cried on and of all day totally normal it will pass !! X

Days 5 to 7 after baby was born I couldn't stop crying at how much I loved him and other silly things. It did pass, midwife told me that's when your hormones peak and it's completely normal.

@Kim it’s a really overwhelming feeling of love! Hopefully the tears stop soon xx

Your hormones are going through a huge drop atm as it’s finishes pregnancy and so you are bound to not be your usual self! I was exactly the same!! Your whole life has changed and although it’s the most magical thing in the world, it’s also hard snd you are allowed to cry! We just been through 9 months of anxiety and changes, given birth to this beautiful baby and now having to look after them with little sleep! As my midwife said to me the other day! We have been through it a big journey and we are doing incredibly well! Xx

Babe I was sat eating crumpets, breastfeeding and watching strictly last weekend and couldn’t stop crying out of contentment I think. I can’t stop them sometimes. The love is next lvl and so overwhelming.

I can’t stop crying it’s so overwhelming. Sleep deprivation really doesn’t help. I forgot just how tough this can be to start with
