Supplements whilst breastfeeding

Which supplements do you take daily? I was taking pregnacare breastfeeding following birth but ran out and never repurchased. I've had bloods done recently which came back normal but I was feeling like I was low on iron (reoccurring issue). I'm intrigued by lions mane, apple cider vinegar and collagen x

I still take my pregnancy vitamins as they have more than the after birth, and I take vitamin D. I used to take apple cider vinegar and collagen, but because I'm ebf, I haven't taken them and stuck to simple multivitamins

Still taking this it has everything you need and better absorbed it’s all natural x

I still take my pregnancy vitamins when I remember, most of the time I forget 🫣 magnesium is supposed to be really good for you though.

Vitamin D, Vitamin K2, magnesium and vitamin B

Thanks all. @Nora where do you find best to purchase them x

@Fatima which pregnancy vitamins can you post a pic

I don't think you need them tbh, just eat normal, good food. I've been breastfeeding for 2 years without anything like that. I'm currently breastfeeding two little ones.. food has everything you need in it! Just drink fluids generously

@Kirsty I use Bulkpowders, they often have discounts! I read somewhere that Vitamine D is best absorbed by the body if taken with Vit K and magnesium is necessary post part un

Supplementing is important, unless you buy 100% organic everything, grass fed grass finished organic meat etc. And even then, a lot of the ordinary food today is depleted of all nutrients.

Vitamin D is not necessary if you live in hot countries, but in the UK you have no other choice as we don’t get enough sun.
