Can you elaborate more on the day care? And what do you feel he is falling behind in?

@Sookie hes not in daycare. So I want to start doing things at home that will help with his vocabulary and learning

Does your local library or bookstore do storytime? Those can be fun ways to get some exposure to other kids and also make books exciting. Our public library and Barnes and Noble both have programs we go to for free. Mommy and me music classes might also be helpful if available. Is your pediatrician concerned?

@Sarah no but im starting to be concerned because hes about to be 2 and isnt talking much so this is why im asking. Thats a good idea tho ill look into this as well thanks

What are milestones you think he is behind on?

If it is just his speech, you can read to him, read him short stories again and again. Read books with names of things. When you read a book, you can describe the image you are looking at. Play songs that have a choreography or hand movement. He may love learning and repeating the lyrics. Start with simple songs like Twinkle twinkle little star, the wheels on the bus, Old McDonald... If you give him screen time, try playing Ms Rachel or similar programs.

Play with him, and while you do just describe everything. Color of the blocks, what you see on walks, and of course read. Montessori toys and puzzles are toys my kids enjoy and didn't tire of fast and I would sit with them and just talk.
