Reflux

Hi! My little one is 6 weeks old and has been struggling with reflux. We’ve been prescribed gaviscon which did seem to work for a bit but she’s now bringing up majority of her bottle after feeding. She’s on cow and gate normal formula. Have people tried the cow and gate reflux milk and have you noticed a difference? Can you mix the normal and reflux milk together so a couple of scoops of each?? Thank you!

My son has acid reflux as a baby and we struggled had loads of different powders from the doctor to go into his bottle nothing helped so was advised from midwife to wean him early so from 3/4 months I weaned him. That helped him massively and he started to keep his bottle down.

Omeprazole helped my baby. And working out that she was lactose intolerant. Moving her on to a lactose free milk has (overtime) basically stopped the reflux.

What signs was she showing for being lactose intolerant? X

My little girls reflux was a sign of a cows milk allergy as no thickener worked to stop it x

After she fed she would ache her back and seemed in a bit of pain. She was very gassy, and sometimes cried when passing wind. Her poo was green and smelly. I wasn’t sure, but wanted to try something, so moved her on to Aptamil lactose free formula and it made a difference. Took several days, but gradually better each day. Spoke to the doctor after, when I could get an appointment, and she agreed it sounded like she was. It’s very unlikely to be a permanent thing. Just temporary whilst she builds up her gut biomes

My son had severe reflux too and the only thing that helped was omeprazole
