not pooping

my 7 week old hasn’t pooed in 2 days now , he’s exclusively breastfed and i’ve tried bicycle legs , crossing his legs and pushing up to his stomach , belly massages , putting some breastmilk in a bottle ( that worked last time ) and a frida baby windi stick and nothing is working. health visitor said it’s normal when i said he went from 4-5 poos a day to 1 poo a day as their guts are maturing but he hasn’t gone at all in 48 hours now what else can i do to help him poo

Try gripe water or infacol

Infacolllll oh my never seen my boy poo so much

If it gets worse there is constipation medicine you can find in the baby aisle

My 3 week old does the same thing. We also exclusively breastfeed. She has such a random poop schedule. My paediatrician said it can be normal for a breastfed baby not to poop for up to two weeks. She said that there isn’t as much “waste” in breast milk as with formula.

My 8 week old goes days without pooing now, it’s normal when they’re breastfeeding so I wouldn’t worry unless he seems distressed.

An exclusively breast fed baby can go 7-10 days without pooping. Just make sure they are having plenty of wet diapers, don’t have a rock hard tummy, and aren’t running a temperature. ❤️

Is baby in pain? Can he pass gas? If not in pain then don’t worry. Mine pooped once a week.

That’s pretty normal for a breastfed baby! As long as they are well in themselves, no temp and weeing enough, nothing to worry about! Prepare with a change of clothes for baby when the poo does come though!!

As long as baby isn’t uncomfortable I wouldn’t worry! My little one often goes 4-5 days now without a poo. Lots of wind and wet nappies still. He did go 7 days once and was obviously in discomfort so we sought medical advice and had to use a suppository.

Cayro syrup in babies bottle, or maybe watch your diet if you’re breast feeding, make sure you are staying hydrated
