Jabs

Has anyone on here not had any of the jabs? (Flu, whooping cough and rsv) I’m reluctant to have any of them done 🤷‍♀️🫣

Me. Didn't the first time either. They keep trying to push it every appointment but I always say no.

I always say your body your choice. I personally can't have any of them due to medical reasons.

Flu I get every year at work so that’s normal for me and I’m fine with it. Whooping cough does cause a sore arm for a few days, but a sore arm is nothing compared to having your baby die of whooping cough! RSV I’m getting in a couple of weeks and tbh I feel incredibly lucky to be able to get it as my cousin nearly lost her son to bronchiolitis so if I can prevent that then brilliant. I personally feel that I would do anything on earth to try and prevent harm to my baby, so it’s a no brainer to get the vaccines.

I haven’t had any and will not have any!

How come you’re reluctant? Whooping cough is on the rise currently in the UK. I had that and no side effects. Getting the covid and flu jab next month that I get every year. Prior to this I used to get the flu every year and was bed ridden for a fortnight - can’t be dealing with that on top of pregnancy 😆

@Rebecca absolutely this. I want to do all I can to protect my baby and thus will be having all vaccines offered.

I didn't get any of these any time I was pregnant, no issues ☺️

I have had whooping cough and booked in for rsv. Someone I know just lost their tiny little baby to whooping cough so I am definitely getting them!

I’ve had whooping cough, booked in for flu and for RSV but don’t think I’ll have Covid x

Got my whooping cough and I’ll get RSV (having in laws come over in January for a few weeks and WC is huge in Australia atm) but I’m not getting the flu or Covid

Flue ✅ Whooping ✅ RSV ✅ Had it all with my first and will be again, It’s not for me it’s for my baby. Especially whooping cough. It was on the news this morning

@Rebecca I agree with everything you say!! Why on earth would you not protect your child from diseases that can seriously harm your baby 🤯

Flu, whooping cough and RSV.. I’d absolutely rather have the vaccine than my baby catch any of them, especially being a winter baby. I wasn’t offered RSV with my daughter but I’m so glad it’s offered routinely now x

@Jen I think I'll do the same as you! Was on the fence about the flu but technically pregnant women are vulnerable so I'll probably get the jab for the first time ever ha. Also I (touch wood) never get side effects with jabs and can go on with my day so why not.
