High BMI scan

Anyone else who has high BMI couldn't get their 12 week scan? Had mine wednesday and they couldn't see anything properly and baby was in awkward position. Asked to come in next week. So feel a bit disheartened..

I have a high bmi I'm due my scan on the 4th so I could have the same issue I can let you know when I have had my scan if I have the same issue

I had the same issue but they just persevered, I feel a bit bruised now tbh but they can make it work don’t worry!

Thanks ladies. Are you guys taking higher dose if vit d by any chance? I ve been prescribed due to weight BT considering whether I shud take or not

I’m abroad at the moment and had my 12 week scan done privately. She looked at my tummy and she decided to use the trans vaginal because she said I was too fat for the ultrasound!! I don’t know if the NHS ones have the trans vaginal one though? Hopefully baby is in a better position next week ❤️

I'm 360 pounds and they did it on top of my stomach at 10 weeks and 3 days picture was normal and heard the heartbeat But normally you can get a Vaginal done if they can't see much on the top at 8 weeks and 3 days I got it vaginal because I couldn't see it on top Even my 6 weeks in 2days as well was vaginal
