Cervix Check

You don't have to do anything in my opinion they're kind of pointless just for a piece of mind!! I don't think they hurt just a little uncomfortable & crampy after!

I got checked today and it didn’t hurt surprisingly and I had mild discomfort that didn’t last long after

I’m 39 weeks

@Julie are you dilated at all ?

They are super painful for me but I have a lot of chronic illness pains that make muscles and nerves more sensitive then most. I still get them done because I find out how dilated I am, how ready my cervix is and how low the baby has dropped so it helps me mentally to get the updates. They aren’t super long though. Like maybe 20 seconds? So super short uncomfortability!

I had it done in the office this week and was expecting horrible pain and didn’t have any pain at all.

I honestly didn’t feel much of anything. A pap is more uncomfortable

I’m 1cm dilated

I was super nervous to get one too because paps are usually painful for me. Her initially going in hurt a bit but checking the cervix itself didn’t hurt at all. I was a little crampy afterwards but tolerable.

Yes. I’d rather get a pap
