Looks normal to me. But also I'm pretty sure lip ties don't effect anything. My frenulum there cut when I was a child I headbutted a book 🤣. But up until then it was like this. And when it cut it was totally fine and healed within a day pretty much

It's hard to tell but NHS don't cut lip ties until they get their adult teeth so they don't care about diagnosing. Do you have feeding issues or concerns? There's very little evidence that lip ties actually cause feeding problems.

Yes, looks the same as my boys lip tie.

@Sophie ouch! That made me cringe 🙈 glad it healed nicely though!

@Hattie it’s just her latch with bottles and she clicks a lot but she’s still having milk so no issues with her not feeding well

@Fiona was you given any advice?

Lip tie doesn’t affect feeding, but tongue tie does. I have 5 professionals tell me that he didn’t have tongue tie. It didn’t sit right with me because he was constantly clicking at the teat, reflux, losing suction, bad wind. So I took him to a private frenulotomist and she instantly found a posterior tongue tie and released it within seconds. He feeds much better now x

@Chloe ooo I’ll have to have a look at her tongue too as she does click a lot when feeding, she does have reflux but given gaviscon for that and she does loose suction. Wasn’t sure if it was the bottles at first but we on mam bottles

If it’s not obvious. It could be posterior 🙂 x

@Katy everyone said leave it alone but I’m convinced it’s causing a bad latch for him 😫 we already had his tounge tie cut. There’s only one place in the uk in London that will do a lip tie division and it’s about £500 … if it causes issues with his speech or a gap in his teeth when older then I will get it sorted then I think ☺️ xx

@Fiona I’ll just keep my eye on it and I’ll ask dentist when we go for a check up… they should tell me if she has and if it will effect. I’m just worried about effecting her speech xx
