We’ve done it for our boy, we personally find it hygienic as the foreskin can likely collect urine or sweat underneath over time. The younger the better of course, as it’s an emotionally difficult procedure. Do your own research of course, and good luck!
Definitely not medically necessary !
I have 4 boys non have been circumcised and they never will be unless they either choose to be or need to have it done for medical reasons. As @Hannah said the NHS won't do it unless medically necessary as it is for aesthetic purposes. A friend of mine had her little boy done because of his dads culture/beliefs and says she wishes she hadn't because he has had no end of problems since and it's been a traumatic experience for both her little boy and herself from the start. Plenty of men go there their entire life with no problems not being circumcised, however there are obviously some that do have issues and do need to be at some point in their life for medical purposes.
If you was guna get it then should have been just after being born. Now it isn’t a good idea.
If it was something that “needed” to be cut off, they wouldn’t be born with it. Nature rarely makes mistakes.
It depends on your beliefs and influence. Some people follow medical advice and for some its for cultural or religious purposes. Either way those who do it judge those who don’t and those who don’t judge those who do. You just gotta do your own research and form an opinion from that.
The way you can reassure yourself you don’t need it is that the NHS won’t do it unless a medical need presents itself. If you want it done and nothing is wrong with your kid, you’ll have to pay privately because it’s essentially a cosmetic procedure. I wouldn’t consider it myself unless there was a problem.
