Confused

So this is baby #2 for me. LMP was July 23rd due date being April 29th. Went in on the 4th for an ultrasound for bleeding. Diagnosed threatened miscarriage cuz there was no heartbeat. Went in on the 11th there was a heartbeat but you couldn’t hear it I was 6 weeks and a few days. 16th went to a new OB they did an ultrasound and said I was 7 weeks exactly. Due date changed to May 5th. Went in today for another through my local pregnancy center and it said 9w2d due April 30th. Am I going to get a solid answer? So I just say I’m due sometime between April 30th and May 5th? I’m so excited

Your last known period doesn't matter anymore since you've had ultrasounds. That date is just used as a baseline for scheduling. & that date is only accurate if you have a 28 day cycle every cycle and ovulate on day 14 every month. Your ovulation date is the only date that would really matter for dating if you know that. Your due date in general is an estimate.. no baby grows the same as another baby (thats why you hear about precentiles).. with so many ultrasounds, it doesn't surprise me that you get multiple dates.

They don’t fully know I guess? I went in for mine yesterday—LMP July 22nd which would make me 9w 3d today and the ultrasound tech said she’s going based on my last menstrual period (so 9w 3d) but she would guess I’m a little further along but not as much as a full week further along so they can’t change the date unless they think it’s a full week difference. I’m sorry you had that scare in the beginning! That would suck but I’m glad it worked out okay in the end 😀 with my first I was two weeks early so due date is just an educated guess anyways. I’d say whichever OB you’re sticking with just use their calculation.

@Michelle I know that, but it’s the fact that within a week it jumped 2 weeks? Did one of them measure wrong?

@Bella sounds like it 😬

@Bella it didn't jump 2 weeks. on the 16th it was 7 weeks and today (10 days later) it was 9w2d.. thats about a 6 day difference

@Cat yeah, my son came 3 weeks early 😅 it’s been a fun time I’m ready for the constant scans to be over. I just want a solid date instead of a “They’re due some time between April 29th and May 5th. I’ll probably ask at my next apt on the 14th 😬 Congrats btw 🫶🏻

I'd go by the actual OB's date, and that's what they'll continue to go by anyway. I've heard that the people at pregnancy centers often aren't as experienced and skilled so you don't get as accurate information.

I’m due April 30th as well 😁

omgggg I’m having the same problem! my LMP was July 23rd as well (funny enough my sons birthday) so my due date is April 29th as well but it keeps being switched from that to May 6th? we should definitely keep in touch though, congratulations!
