Heart shaped uterus

I've had multiple scans and no problems ever recorded but today I had a scan to start ivf and was told I had a heart shaped womb. They said its just a variation and nothing else but then I went down a rabbit hole of Google and I'm worrying now. Anyone else have this

This happend to me too! And I ran to comment!.. I've had several gyne surgeries, and alot of intervention over the years, never mentioned! I've had some outside guidance regarding this and I couldnt believe it, and have studied this stuff too!.. and honestly it will not effect your IVF journey, They are aware of your shape and if it was a major issue they would advise further investigations if you were at the worse case end.. Mine is also heart shaped, but angled to the side and doesn't actually effect the process or transfer 🙏🏻🥰

I had this too! Doesn’t effect the ivf at all. at my egg collection They did a mock exam to see which side they need to transfer the embryo too.

Thank you that's really helped. I think I'm feeling a little bit overwhelmed and I've just been so upset reading about the risks that are associated with it. I can believe it was never picked up prior to today after multiple scans and my hsg

Try not to stress about it, If they've said its a variation, you're not in the worst case situation for a mini op to correct before they proceed with your IVF... Please try not to research on Dr Google 🙏🏻 😫 I did exactly the same and the stress was unbearable, Trust me when I say, if there was a huge issue they wouldn't be proceeding 🙏🏻🥰🫶🏻

@Dani thank you hopefully not they didn't mention any more about in during the ultrasound then nothing was mentioned at the consultation so we are proceeding just hope it wasn't missed 🤞

I thought I had this (based on one scan), but after a few more it turned out that I have 2 completely separate uterus’s )Uterus Didelphys). There are barely any positive stories for it so I started an instagram, but don’t use it now. Anyway, I carried to 37 weeks and have a healthy 15 month old 😊 when you search for positive stories, there are loads out there!!!! Good luck with your journey ♥️♥️

@Natassia congratulations. Thank you. You're right there are plenty on Google when I was looking. It's statistics that worry me. Thank you 😊
