No period but not pregnant?? 🤷‍♀️

Looking for advice, or past experiences? So I came off the pill after my last period at the end of June (had been on it since my daughter was born in dec 2021) as my partner and I decided to start trying for a second. So July was fine, took my period as I normally would when off the pill, but then I got a new job starting aug, so decided to go back on the pill after July period as I didn’t think it was a good idea to try for baby when starting a new career. BUT then after being on the pill during the whole of aug, I decided I wanted to start trying again, so came off it again after my period at end of Aug, was doing the deed during ovulation etc, it’s come to the time where it should be period or baby and it’s neither! Flo saying period is 4 days late, premom saying 6 days late, tested today and 2 days ago and both negative 🤷‍♀️ I’m now on day 34 of my cycle, when they are usually 28 and nothings happening and I don’t know what to do 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ can anyone give me advice?? Similar experience?? TIA x

It may still be too early to test depending on when ovulation/conception was. May just be the pill having impacted your cycle? I would also monitor for any signs of ectopic - this happened to a friend - I can’t remember how many days late she was but kept testing and negative tests, then turned out to be ectopic. Xxx

@Charlotte thank you for your reply! How did your friend find out it was ectopic? Did she have pain? Did she still have pregnancy symptoms? Not sure what the signs are? Thanks! Xx

Yes she had pain in the end and went to A&E. she didn’t have any signs of pregnancy herself - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/ectopic-pregnancy/symptoms/

Not meaning to scare you as you’re probably likely not having an ectopic but think it’s good to be aware of it! Xxxx

@Charlotte it’s not even something I would’ve considered, so thank you for bringing it to my attention! If I don’t have a period/positive test in the next week or so, I’ll defo go see the gp! Xxx

I wasn’t aware either before my friend experienced it. My sister has also experienced it not so long ago. Hope all goes well and fingers crossed for a positive!!

How is everything? Xxxx
