Week 40 today and no signs of an appearance either 🙃

Same !! 39+5 and thinking I might need to join Oct babies group as well! 😅

Due tomorrow, joined October group few weeks ago hahahaha I will have induction Oct 5/6 so unless something happens until then.. I am honestly shocked it hasn’t happened yet. I’ve had BH since week 22, at 37 weeks I was already 1 cm dilated, 50% effaced, at 39 was 1 cm, 70% effaced and head is engaged, did membrane sweep, lost lots of brown mucus plug but nothing really since then 🤪

Am told that 66% births happen within 7 days of due date so I hope we’re all lucky and are in that 66% group and don’t need the mandatory induction

@Polina Induction is never mandatory. We have medical and bodily freedom thank God 🙏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Yea just booked my induction for 4/10/2024 at 41+6, so unless something happens between now and Tuesday this little guy will be an October baby

@Gabi nah, not in my opinion! There’s lots of research on stillbirths and how mother’s health is affected after 40 weeks and it’s even worse after 42 weeks.

@Polina Is that so? Then why some countries France being one of them consider full term 41 weeks? If after 40 weeks mothers were at some risks, this wouldn't be the case. Majority of babies are born in week 41, between 40 and 41. Those are NHS stats. You can absolutely have any opinion and belief you like 🙌🏼 But do not say induction is mandatory as it never is. At certain situation recommended or advised yes, never mandatory.

@Gabi it is mandatory at 41.6/42 as that’s the health guideline for Europe and USA/canada and I’m certain in other countries too - that’s all I was saying. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8145839/ France has it as 41 weeks simply because mothers don’t give birth right on 40 week mark, 66% of women give birth within 7 days of their due date so France has spared the women of worries and impatience and simply put it as 40 weeks and 6 days whereas UK and other countries have it as 39 and 6 days

Yep me! I’m 39+6 and had many signs yet no signs of labour 😂 I’m so done now and just want my baby here! Sending all the September mummas in our boat some birth dust 😂🩷

Yep me, currently 40 weeks and 5 days. Showing no signs had a sweep on Monday and had a bloody show when the midwife done the sweep so was feeling positive, but nothing progressed since. Have my induction booked for Saturday 🥲

40 and 3 days and still here!! I can’t wait any longer! Anyone knows anything to get this baby out?

My midwife said it is not mandatory you can go over 42 weeks if you want just that there is many risks and they encourage you to do it. They can’t obligate you to do something that you don’t want

@Polina I am not sure you know what "mandatory" means. So again, no induction is not mandatory. If you live in a dictatorship state when government got power over your body, then I am really sorry and this this awful and should be raised with human rights organisations. But no, thank God in the UK and USA that isn't the case. https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/labour-and-birth/signs-of-labour/inducing-labour/

Yep me too! Due on Friday and no signs yet! Had a sweep which the midwife couldn’t do as my cervix was too high but she did say it was soft and short, whatever that means! But yes starting to think I will be having an October baby 😩

I just left the Oct group cos their babies started coming and I was jealous 😭 hopefully our babies will come this weekend if not before!

Yeah I joined the October group when I fell pregnant 😂 I’m not 40+1 and no signs at all. Apart from constant pressure and aches that I’ve had for months.

@Ella yea that’s why I don’t want to join the Oct group because I will be upset if I see them having theirs and I am still waiting 🤣

@Polina @Gabi I am 40+5 today. Had my 40 week appointment with my midwife yesterday and we discussed induction, I said I wanted to give it an extra week and she said “it’s not recommended to go past 41 weeks but it’s my choice”. So I got my induction booked at 41+6.

Yep.. due date tomorrow I had a feeling she might come October. 🙄 I’ve been scheduled for an induction at 41 weeks but feel uneasy about it

This is the reason I joined both groups cause the due date is never exact! 😂 I’m 39+4 today so hoping she comes otherwise I’ll be induced in October x
