Vitamin drops

Hi moms, I had no idea I’m to give my new born vitamin drops if I’m breast/formula feeding. My baby is 3weeks+. What vitamins should I give her? Do I ask my midwife? Can I get the vitamin drops at the pharmacy or must I go to the Gp? I’m sorry I sound anxious… I just don’t want to feel like I’m not doing my best 😥

Well this is the first I've heard of it as well and my little one is 5 weeks. I'm messaging my health visitor to find out more. I'd ask your midwife or HV for advice.

It’s only if they are breast fed or have less than a certain amount of formula each day (I can’t remember how much, sorry) It’s just the vitamin D drops that they need I believe.

Oh and you can get them from supermarkets, pharmacies etc

Breastfeeding only, they just need vit d drops x

Since we are combi feeding, my HV told me formulas usually have all the vitamins they'll need at that age.

If they’re exclusively breastfed or having less than 500ml of formula, they’re to have vitamin d drops

I’m combi feeding and using vit D drops until he’s on full formula

@Lisa these were also recommended to me by my midwife :)

Your HV can give you healthy start vitamins. I cant lie i forget to give them most days and all my kids are healthy xx
