Are they double checking this? It could be the positioning or anything, my first baby they told me expect at least 8lb going to be big. He was only 5.14lb 🙈
@Charis I've got another scan in 2 weeks to check
do you always get offered a growth scan? i havent had one
The 20 week scan is based on national averages whereas the current will be based on a personalised growth chart so I’d try not to worry
@Steph mine was because my BMI is high
@Steph growth scans are offered where they deem it necessary, like in high risk pregnancies. Or if you have certain health conditions like diabetes, asthma. Things that could pose a risk to babies growth. I had growth scans every 3 weeks because I'm severe asthmatic and have an oesophageal disease that affects my ability to eat and therefore affects my nutrition and weight.
@Hannah so I don't need to worry then
@Molly Sapsed no, i wouldn’t at all! you’re in the range that’s considered “normal!” ❤️
@Hannah maybe she was too small at my 20 week scan for them to compare it
I wouldn’t worry! Baby is still within the limits of what is classed as nothing to be concerned about. they only usually have additional concerns if baby is under 10th or over 90th x
