I had my first ultrasound at 12 weeks.

I didn't get one until I was about 8 weeks but that's when my Dr starts prenatal appointments

I was extremely high risk so I did. Normally they wait

I got one at 7 weeks. How are they confusing you?

How are they confusing you? Usually they wait until you’re at least 8 weeks if it’s not a high-risk pregnancy.

I got a scan at 6w with my daughter but that was only because I was with a fertility clinic. All my friends didn't get their first scans until they were 8-12 weeks.

I had my first ultrasound at 6+4 when I went in just for placement bc I have endometriosis so risk for ectopic was higher & they kept doing them each two week visit after that until I started normal ob visits with midwives (the first were in hospital bc I was send to hospital ob when I told the rheumatologist I was seeing that day that I’d taken 2 positive tests when she said she was suprised to have not see positive antibodies (pregnancy can change that kind of blood work too)

Check thru blood work. If Hcg levels are high then double in two days your definitely prego. Ultrasound this early wont show anything just your sac. I got my first at 6weeks only because i was bleeding and i got scared because i had a miscarriage before so i was consider high risk.

They wait typically

I had my first scan at 5 weeks at the early pregnancy unit as I had stomach pains and had accidentally donated blood while pregnant. Had a follow up at 7 weeks to check he was growing

I got one at 6 weeks because I had a precious miscarriage and really high numbers. Ended up being twins so I guess that’s what they were looking for. lol Most people don’t get one till 8-12 weeks if they’re having a textbook pregnancy with no previous complications.

Usually the first ultrasound doesn’t happen till week 8. Before that there’s nothing to hear or see really

I’m 6 weeks tomorrow and don’t get my first ultrasound until 9 weeks. The reason is because the baby is too small for a heartbeat at 5 weeks and is just starting to develop. If you want more confirmation and such, you can request a prenatal blood panel early!

If they’re unsure of when your due they might do a dating scan to see where you’re at. And then go from there

Usually blood test and ultrasound after 8 weeks

I had pains so had one at 5 weeks ish at the EPU. Disappointing in one way because baby is so small. Had to have another one at 7/8 weeks.

I’d be surprised if you saw anything at 5 weeks, probably just gestational sac? Try again in a few weeks and you should be able to see yolk sac and tiny baby with heartbeat. That’s what we saw at 7 weeks

Ultrasound this early may or may not show anything. If you’re wanting to confirm you’re pregnant I would do a blood test and in a few weeks time you can do an early ultrasound. Routinely your first ultrasound will be around 12 weeks (U.K. at least) but I had an early one privately
