I'm in England and feel the same 🙃😅

I lived in Canada for 12 years, now I’ve moved back to England and had a baby I’d love to be able to go back, I barely even leave the house here 🥲

Yeah, I don't see my friends as often as I did before my little boy was born.

The US also has a terrible social life- there are no 3rd spaces- capitalism has ruined everything

I think it depends on where you are and if you get out. If you don't get out, you're never going to make friends, and it also takes time. Our library does an amazing story time twice a week and toddler time twice a week. There are a few parks that almost always have at least a few kids playing in them. The rec center has mommy and me classes. Where I used to live, I met a bunch of moms at the McDonald's Place (it was a really amazing play place). There were also indoor playgrounds that were $2 to get into (it was below 0 a lot in winter).

I totally feel you on this mama !

@Laura is it because there is no community centres or mom + baby days?

@Lyss i agree. My friend in germany says they get 30 days of vacation pay and not allowed to over work. They even need permission from their first job to get a second job so they do not over work

@Jenna but thats not what I mean. Yes we get all these options to meet but not everyone makes an effort to stay connected. People barely try to keep friends. You will have a good time chatting having coffee and then once its over youll barely hear from them again unless you initiate a meet up. I dont believe anyone is THAT busy they cant even do 1 hour meets. People just dont bother as much as Id like them to.
