What kind of exercises are best for pregnancy and what to avoid?

I’ve been pretty much doing what I did before. Apart from no laying on stomach or back xx

Before I was told to stop going to the gym by my midwife she said anything I was previously doing but with weights lower the weight and do more reps. As you get past the first trimester no lying on back or tummy and no sit-ups/crunches as they can separate abb muscles. But anything you were confident doing before you can continue to do in pregnancy within reason if you’re ever unsure on a specific exercise you can always google it as that’s what I did 😂 :)

But just simple things like walking or stairs are great for you and baby during pregnancy as it gets blood pumping doesn’t necessarily need to be in a gym. But if you are going to the gym lots of water and allow yourself longer breaks between exercises xx
