How long after chemical does period arrive?

Tomorrow is my first day of missed period, and I’ve taken probably 6 tests in the past four days. Some have been early detection, some not, and all of them have had a faint line. The line isn’t getting stronger, potentially lighter. Today I did a urine test at the GP who immediately said I wasn’t pregnant within moments, as no second line appeared on the test (although wasn’t sure if I should have asked to wait, in case it changed?!). My BBT also dropped today, which made me feel like my period will arrive unfortunately. My assumption is that I’ve had a chemical pregnancy and my period will come soon. But how long does it typically take? How quickly does HCG rise; would it be high enough to detect by now, if any chance of pregnancy?

Usually with a chemical your period comes a little later, few days/week late etc and it is usually heavier too. I would have thought if today was when your period should start, tests would pick up a stronger positive, it would just all depend on when you ovulated/conceived - cycle length etc though. I'm sorry it's such a crappy time. X

Thanks for replying so quickly 🫶🏻 my cycle has been really regular in the past month or two, so I’m confident I ovulated two weeks ago tomorrow (had a positive LH surge). Hate the waiting around for period when TTC.

My period came maybe a day or two late with both my chemicals x

My period came 5 days late after my chemical. I had 2 positive tests before than and then 2 negative tests the day before I started to bleed
