Can I give puree as a snack?

My daughter is fully eating solids and is doing great! I do allow a puree pouch as a snack sometimes. Is that okay??

Food is food!! I'm an adult and eat applesauce which is a puree, it's more than fine

That's fine. I just try to limit pouches to once or twice a week since they can have a lot of sugar and are known to have heavy metals present.

Yea! Puree is puree, ones just in a pouch lol. No need to limit them either. Just be conscious of brands and how they make their products. I love avoiding gerber.

I would strongly suggest doing research on heavy metals. Almost all pouches contain them. There are differences in the brands but even the organic ones have shown to have them present. Much of it comes from the food in the pouch...namely root veggies because the metals are absorbed through the soil. So I try to rotate those out so my son doesn't have a diet heavy in roots for both pouches and cooked foods.

I buy the treetop organic apple sauce from Costco and make my own pouches using reusable pouches I bought on Amazon. I also make purées from all kinds of veggies and oats and put them in the pouches this way I know what’s in them. It is time consuming but it’s also cheaper and I know what’s in them. Don’t get me wrong, I also buy the store bought pouches when I’m in a pinch.

@Elisa love this
