Baby Blues

How are we doing ladies? I had really bad baby blues with my first baby a few years ago (she was a very fussy and I was really struggling). I’m so content this time around but just got hit with a bout of anxiety out of nowhere which I can only assume is the hormone change (we’re day 2 today and milk just came in). Worried about how it might escalate over the next few days

I was the exact same with my first. Thankfully this time round I’ve only had a few teary spells here and there. I gave birth 3 weeks ago. Hoping it’s the same for you too as I know how horrible baby blues can be. Sending love ❤️

Been doing ok, a bit teary but fine until today when anxiety has kicked in...we're day 5 pp. Hope you are doing ok and it will pass as your milk comes in as that brings hormones on too x

Day 10 PP speaking to MH midwife tomorrow, first few days were okay then anxiety and sadness. Really helping talking to female familg members amd my mum

13 days pp tomorrow and ppd has hit me like a tonne of bricks. Haven't got much support as I'm new to the area but reaching out and talking as much as I can. This is horrible but as with anything in life, just temporary xx

They say your hormones dip when milk comes in making you feel really down and out. I had two days last week when baby was around 4 days old where I just cried and though wtf have I got myself into 😂 feeling much better this week tho

@Catalina im fairly new to this area too, family is over an hour away. Good to think its a waiting game and eveerything wil balance back out again ❤️

Mine are in NZ 😭

Very similar to me! My milk came in yesterday and all of a sudden I started getting really anxious and worried. Definitely is to do with hormones so I’m reminding myself of this ans spending as much time as possible snuggling my baby which is really helping. I think this time round I’m feeling more positive overall so hope this dip is temporary for me and you too! Xx

I was completely fine the first 2-3 days but I think I was running off adrenaline, now every night between the hours of 11pm-1am I find myself sobbing for no reason, I think the tiredness catches up to me then I’m a mess 😂
