Big belly

Has anyone been for a growth scan and been told their babies belly is measuring bigger than normal and you need to be tested for gestational diabetes? Really worried here!

My first baby measured big throughout the whole pregnancy … i was tested for GD but it was negative. They predicted she would be over 10lbs when I was 39 weeks so I had an induction that ended in c section and she came out 8.8lbs The tummy measurements and growth scans are notoriously inaccurate so I wouldn’t worry too much, and the GD test is pretty easy just annoying x

@Jessica thank you. I think it’s more just the fact it’s his belly measuring big and nothing else that’s worrying me?!😭😭

I had the same as Jessica - my first measured big and it triggered the GD test twice 😭 I ended up with a C-section due to how big they said he would be and he was 8lb8!

I recently got told his head & belly are bigger , awaiting results from my GD test so I feel you! X

I got measured a few weeks ago and was showing 6 weeks ahead. Went for a growth scan and all was as she should be. Also had the GTT which I passed xx

Sorry I forgot to mention … whilst my daughter measured big all over her belly measurement was even bigger if that makes sence. My fingers are crossed for you, pregnancy can be so worrying x

I was told I would have a massive baby as I was always measuring 3/4 weeks ahead. Negative for GD, I had extra fluid and my little girl came out at 6.15. Even the scan measurements can be out

I was told that belly wise I measure as 26 weeks when I was 28 weeks. Went for an urgent scan and baby's head apparently in 93rd percentile. 🤣 Doing the glucose test tomorrow. I am 5'2 and my husband is 6'2, sorta expected it 🤣x

Update: I had the test today and was all fine! I don’t have GD. For anyone worried about the test though, it’s fine, the drink is actually quite nice and it’s good you get the results back the same day😀
