Miscarriage and when to start trying again

I was pregnant, but at about 7 weeks we lost the baby. Yes it was sad and yes I was angry for the fact that my OB did nothing lab wise to help prevent this ( all speculation of course). When would you try again? Immediately? 6 weeks?

First let me say I am sorry for your loss. If you and your partner are emotionally ready, you can actually start whenever you want. However it is best to make sure your Hcg levels are checked and make sure they are low enough to be considered “not pregnant” first for easier tracking. You would also want to make sure there are not more remaining contents from the miscarriage as this can have complications including bleeding and infection which can cause further complications. I have suffered multiple miscarriages and most recently 3 in a row before I was referred to a fertility specialist and now have a 3 month old. Good luck on this journey!

I am so sorry for your loss 💕 I lost twins at 21+6 and it near broke me. I waited 7 months until we tried again. I waited for my first period after my bleeding had stopped and I was emotionally ready to take on another pregnancy as I knew it would be different this time round (due to how far along I was) and I knew I could cope with not only being pregnant but actually getting my baby without grief spilling over. There will also be other medical reasons which I'm sure your GP or a midwife could help with 🧡 Good luck on your journey 💕

I’m so sorry you are going through this. After my 3 losses I waited until til my HCG was 0 and my period came back (about 5-6 weeks).

I’m so sorry for your loss hun. I had a chemical miscarriage and 2 weeks later I was pregnant with my baby. I’m now 31 weeks. There’s really no specific timeline I don’t think. I kept trying.

I asked & was told I could start trying again as soon as I stopped bleeding. I got pregnant again my first cycle after my loss & she's 2 now.
