Growth Scan

Has anyone had their baby’s size drop from 50th centile to about the 30th? This was from 28 weeks to 36 weeks. I know there is a margin of error with these scans but it’s making me nervous. These were private scans and I have coincidentally been referred to an NHS scan based on my FH measurement today. Trying not to worry, but definitely anxious about it.

Mine dropped from 68th centile at 32 weeks to 15th at 36. They wanted to induce me at 37 weeks (today) but I was reluctant, they sent bloods to check placenta was functioning properly and I had a USS Doppler today. All my results have come back normal so have been booked in for another growth scan at 38 weeks (Monday) There is a 15% window for error either side with growth scans so try not to worry! As long as you’re happy and clinically well I would say you’ll be fine😊

I was sent in as his growth was at the 30th at around 32 weeks. I went back in at 34 weeks for them to tell me hes right on track...they then called me back a week later to say thry double checked and actually his tummy is large but his head is on the 3rd percentile. I was absolutely shitting myself and hsve been until my scan today confirmed, yes his head is on the smaller side but everything looks normal and they arent worried. Id say seek positive stories online if u are a google fanatic. I have been crying and praying every silent moment i got simply because google always tells you the worst. So just dont stress it and what will be will be, but baby is more than likely perfect 🥰good luck

I don't really give a crap about FH and growth scans cos the margin of error is so big 😂 I had a growth scan today cos my FH tailed off the tinieeeeest amount between 32 and 34 weeks - I just enjoyed the opportunity to see my boy again as I haven't seen him since 20 weeks haha. I feel in my body he's absolutely fine and I know he's big, even though my bump is so small according to literally everyone I meet 🥹 currently measuring at 5lb10 but as I said I take all these measurements with a giant handful of salt. Listen to your body and your tummy x
