Hi lovely , i found out i was pregnant and called my doctor right away. they dont deal with it first hand but they tell a midwife all your details and when you reach 12-14 weeks pregnant the midwife will contact you. they calculate how far along you are from the date of ur last period, they confirm ur pregnancy with a scan at around 12 weeks pregnant to see if its viable but you can also pay for a private scan earlier if you have any worries🫶🏼

With all of mine I self referred by calling my community midwives unit and they asked how far along I was (by asking when my last period was) they then booked me in for a booking appointment where they go over the dos and don’ts, gave me my notes as we still use paper where I am, and spoke about the blood tests I’d need and when I’d need to get them done by. A few weeks later I got a letter for my 12 week scan
