Umbilical Granuloma

My baby had it! The doctors will put silver nitrate on it to heal. I’m not sure if the “sooner the better” matters here or not

My son had one and had to have it cauterized twice. They don’t feel it but I was told not to wait to come back if it didn’t heal after the first one. We went back two days later for second silver nitrate. Most importantly do not get it wet, it’s still an open wound.
