Yes! It did! You can see the typical trend and how yours stacks up and where it goes over time! I found this incredibly accurate!
I am! I haven’t noticed a huge change so far - 18 weeks
@Rhan how far along are you? I have tracked RHR and HRV and it is similar, but not exactly the same trend as was posted in the study.
@Bailey Meraviglia How exciting!! Did you go back to your pre-pregnacy HRV immediately after you gave birth?
Yes I did track it was almost dead on for me
@Rita Elise I went FAR above. But I was training 1.5-2 hrs a day til 38 weeks pregnant so I got “fitter”
@Rhan I use whoop and it was only 1 day off for delivery but I went into labor on the correct date
I tracked mine with my oura ring daily through pregnancy and it really went low in pregnancy and I read those studies about HRV increasing 7 weeks before birth but mine never increased? I delivered 2 weeks early but never saw any increase until after delivery 🤷🏼♀️
@Danielle it depends on what happens during pregnancy
@Laura B it looks like the change from pre-pregnancy to week 18 went from 62 ish to 55ish in the study. So not a huge change, but significant enoguh to notice.. my HRV went from 90ies to 70ies the first 18 weeks.
@Mikala I read about some professional endurance skiers who trained during their whole pregnancy, although they reduced the overall training with about 40-60% compared to competing levels of training, they still trained a couple of hours per day until delivery and experienced higher VO2max after giving birth than before they got pregnant. Women's bodies are amazing!!
@Rita Elise it did! Or atleast it has over time! The lack of sleep really wrecked it early on though 😂
Looking back at my stats, mine went up and down from 21-31. I remember my Hrv being suuuuper low in pregnancy it kind of freaked me out! About 10 days after birth my HRV went back up to the 50-70 range.
@Rita Elise mine has been following for the most part. I had a small decrease in RHR recently and rise in HRV so I am not sure if it’s the “official” peak or if it’s just a blip. I’m 32 weeks now so I know it’s early but I’m just excited!

@Mikala whoa. Correct according to the 7week window?
@Rhan yes! 32wks wouldn’t be that early you could go early which would be 39wks
@Claire mine was in the 40s during pregnancy and now it’s in the 90s
So my hrv was a little higher for awhile. Then, a month or so before I gave birth it started dropping but with these random days where it would spike high. I notice this started when I was having contractions on and off. I went into labor early as my water broke at 35 weeks. The day my water broke and the day before my hrv had dropped a bit. No idea what the correlations are but it's interesting. I've never had random high hrv spikes like those but they seem to correlate with days where I had noted contractions. More interesting was watching my rhr before and after delivery, and postpartum.
I’ve been following this as a whoop user but am curious if this will be accurate.
