Midwife after birth

Hi. I gave birth on the 19th, sent home on the 20th. The hospital said midwife would be out next day on 21st. I messaged both of my midwifes about what time, neither got back ( which I guessed they wouldn't as weekend) I waited all day, no one came and heard nothing today either. Is this normal for midwives not to be out within the first day or 2? This is my 3rd child and theyve always had to come out within 1st day

They definitely should’ve been out by now! I’d maybe mention it to the hospital if you don’t hear anything back first thing tomorrow morning. They’ll contact them and they will push them to come out x

Mine came out the day after I was sent home then day 3 and 5. You deffo should have seen someone by now. To be fair mine just turned up which is fine for me.

My hospital said to call the postnatal ward in the evening if no one had visited, so maybe try that?

Yeah mine were really good. Came next day and then the day after. One rung and one just turned up, and both were on a Saturday and Sunday. Have you been giving a contact sheet by the midwives when you were discharged? Maybe call the head midwife as some of them are part time

We were discharged Friday 13th and were given a midwife appointment in the hospital the next day, usually they would visit the home but because it was a Saturday they asked us to come in. They still saw us within 24 hours!
