I mounted a small roku tv on the wall and alternated between that, toys, and 5 minuet breaks with the baby

Roku tv has pbs kids for free amd the roku channel and they both have seseame street and the wiggles

My first baby would play with a pile of toys for long stretches of time. I'd rotate her toys so that they would seem new, and she'd happily explore them while I worked on my laptop nearby. I'd change her position/location whenever she seemed fussy. Taste-safe sensory bins were great when she was old enough to sit up and play (very messy but I got so much done when she had one). She also loved to nurse, so I'd often have calls with my video off while nursing her. I also let her contact nap so that I'd have the longest stretches of peace and quiet while I was working. Now, my second baby requires more direct attention more frequently. I often have to put him in the carrier and walk with him while I'm on calls. He will sit still and play but requires more changes of toys/scenery to keep him busy. I'll put him in the swing, move him to his baby gym, set him next to me, move us to another room, etc. I have to work slightly longer hours to make up for the time I spend on these transitions.

I got a nanny, we’re trying to be screen free until 2 years old. The nanny is great bc she gets her out of the house and does a lot of social activities with her. I feel like it’s the best thing for both bc I could not focus on my work otherwise.

I work from home and raised my babies twins . It might sound like a lot but you might have to do a little of everything at the same time depending on exactly what u do for work . If u are Brestfeedibg and can get some work done while babies is attached due it !!!!! My kiddos would end up knocking out on me (I used a twins Brest feeding pillow thing ) honestly it was kinda like q bed that wraps around u . When they are up and about then I suggest putting some of their favorite and baby in area next to u where baby can b entertain for a while

Thank you all so much! I will be trying your advice when the time comes, I am a little worried because my baby is very much a velcro baby and also he might be teething soon, but I guess try a lot of things and see what works best😁

U are doing a great job . Don’t stress to much you will do good

In my experience (11 months now) my baby only stays interested in toys for like 5 minutes max. So it's helpful to have a lot of different things to keep her distracted with. stuff from the kitchen like Tupperware, spatula, measuring cups, keep my baby entertained just as long as actual toys and is a lot cheaper
