Ultrasound

Hi, Just been sent the appointment for my sons ultrasound on his pelvis and abdomen. He will be 3 months at the scan date, it says to give water but also make sure he hasn’t eaten. Obviously he only has milk. What do I do around this? do I feed as I would normally or do I have to be cruel and not feed him before the scan?
