I’m so scared! Emergency scan and growth rate concerns. Does anyone have any experience with this

I’ve been booked for an emergency scan cos of the rate of growth. I’m 37 weeks on Monday and have always been measuring slightly ahead but just been for my last measurement and he’s off the chart measuring 44cm when I should really be measuring at 36cm. They can’t determine his position either which is weird because he has always been head down so I don’t get why that would have changed .. feeling really nervous and just want some guidance, have my growth chart picture.

Your baby is large. That's why emergency c-section. It's dangerous. Do you have GD by any chance?

@Raluca she’s not actually said she’s having an emergency c-section, just said she’s having a growth scan x

If the measurements were based solely on fundal height I always found them inaccurate. Consistently told I was measuring 4 weeks ahead so got sent for a scan only for them to find baby was small! but liked to sit with her bum stuck out which made my bump measure much bigger. Look at it is a good thing, they’re just checking everything is ok, and you get another chance to see your bubba. Hope all goes well for you.

I'm having this problem my baby is larger than usual I found out yesterday that I had developed diabetes and not the GD

Not reliable lovely or accurate and certainly No emergency… why is it?… if there was a need for an emergency you would know

@Hannah sorry emergency scan, however if all her scans she will be over the normal limits, they'll advise c-section. Our baby is under the limit small so they are going to do c-section for us at 39 weeks
