have him evaluated with psychiatrist i’m sorry you going through this mama my 4 year old just got kicked out of Tk for behavior issues as well and we are doing behavioral therapy with a program in california but up until i get her diagnosed i can then later put her into actual autism and other behavior therapy services did they tell you what he does ? mine hits kicks tries to bite and is defiant she will absolutely not listen and she has always been like that she also has a speech delay she can be a loving child when she wants too 😭

see if you can find a regional center near you as well i know they do their own evaluation and tell your doctor about it as well that’s how you get the psych evaluation

It's going to be different depending on where you live. You'll have to do the research. Start with the pediatrician, behavioral specialist and get a referral. My area has a free CAPA program for counseling, they do play therapy. I wish you luck on this journey!

Thanks so much! It does sound regional. He was diagnosed with the global delay and I have yet to find services for kids under 3yr in Maryland for any conditions other than autism. There's one place that I know of, but it's so far away, I wouldn't be able to get a work day in. At this point, I've resolved to get him screened for autism.
