Growth scan worries - smaller head circumference

Hey all. Just had my 36 week scan and babies head is measuring slightly small. My last scan was at 28 weeks and it was measuring slightly below the 50th percentile and this scan it’s significantly lower than that. Not sure if I should be worried or what this means? :( For reference BPD - (biparietal diameter HC - Head circumference

All of those measurements are within totally normal range. There’s only a concern with head circumference as an individual measurement if it’s measuring below 10th (possible microcephaly) or over 90th with signs of hydrocephalus It’s very rare babies stay on the same centile for each individual measurement for every scan. There’s lots of factors that affect the measurements, fetal position, sonographer, if baby has started to engage.

Scans can be up to 20% out as well, I wouldn't worry! Ours had a large head circumference at our last scan, got one on Tuesday at 39 weeks now. I'm taking it with a pinch of salt x

@Ceri-Ann awwww thank you! You forget these things when you’re in the moment. My first was a large baby (9Ib 2) but was ‘proportionate’ the whole time so this is new to me 😭 but yeah feeling reassured now xx

All within normal range nothing to be concerned about :)

@Natalie thank you xx

@Becca thanks for the reassurance x
