I had one at 7 weeks and it was a transvaginal scan so weight didn’t really matter! At that stage you pretty much see the yolk and your little bean with a heartbeat ☺️
Thank you all! I think I'll probably book one then. Last time, waiting the 13 weeks was really difficult and first scan experience was a disaster. I couldn't even talk to the person doing it and didn't even know if baby heartbeat was there(they didn't put sound on) and was just so upset for the whole thing. Plus it left me very bruised
I'm was size 18 before pregnancy for reference and had a private scan at exactly 7w and could see baby and a heartbeat it was an abdominal scan didn't need an internal
I had one early and the baby was a little dot but all was ok. I did have to go back at 10 weeks as I thought I was over 7 weeks and he couldn’t say whether he could hear my heartbeat or the babies, so I would say definitley wait until you are after 7/8 weeks. I’m a size 18/20 xx
We had an early scan what we thought was 9 weeks but it was around 7+5. I'm a size 20 and belly heavy but we manged to see the little bean fine 😊 I find the private scans are much better than NHS scans x
